Cinnamon Scones

So many of you have written to me asking for the recipe for the yummy cinnamon scones I made during our snow days. They are truly delicious and very easy to make. (WARNING: They are dangerous. Do not allow yourself to be left alone with them. I’m serious! Only make these if you have a house full of people to feed or if… like me… you bring them to church and feed your choir… or whoever you choose to feed :) )

The recipe for the buttery, cinnamony goodness is posted exclusively on my friends SeaShineMag’s site. They are good people! Instead of focusing on the negative, SeaShine focuses on the good. They talk about what is right with our world. And, their faith is woven throughout the content. I love this. And I love them. I love everyone who uses their gifts for His purposes. But my girl Whitney is special!

Please support their efforts by visiting their awesome site at www.seashinemag.com, and CLICK HERE for cinnamon scone recipe.

How are you using your gifts. Really… I love to hear how God moves through my sweet friends!

Sweetest Blessings,
LeAnn

I have a wonderful scone recipe already but I’ve never thought of going cinnamon. I LOVE to bake but I try and send all goods to my husband’s office…that way I get the fun of baking, the joy of a small sample then send it all out the door.

I am a teacher who loves to cook. So I lead a small group in my home and also feed them. (Not everytime – but often.) :-)

Thanks for all you do – LOVE your recipes!

I just made these this afternoon, they have barely cooled enough to eat, I couldn’t find the cinnamon chips, so I added a light glaze. I was so worried I was going to “over mix” and end up with tough scones, but they turned out just right, your instructions were very detailed and helpful! Thank you for this recipe, which is part dessert this weekend, and part breakfast, I didn’t glaze them all.

I plan to make your roast chicken next week, can’t wait!

Where do you find cinnamon chips? This recipe looks great, but I don’t think I’ve ever even seen cinnamon chips in the grocery stores in my neck of the woods! I’d love to make these scones, but I need some help in finding some cinnamon chips!

Dangerous is an understatement… These scones are absolutely wonderful! The perfect treat on this second snowed-in day. In fact, after the first 12″ of snow and before the next 6″ last evening, we were able to make it to the store for the secret cinnamon chip scone ingredient.
These are the best scones I have ever made. A huge hit with my husband and sons.
Thank you for sharing!

Hahahaha! I warned you. You are too funny! I am so glad your family loved them. They truly are sinful… but in the yummiest way :)

These were amazing! I made them gluten-free with a GF flour mix and some xanthian gum with great results. They were perfect! Thanks for another great recipe.
P.S. Jennifer, The chips should be somewhere next to the regular chocolate chips in the baking isle. They are made by Hershey’s and are also wonderful in pancakes!
