Hey Friends!
Well… we have dug ourselves out of the snow. Charlotte isn’t used to getting a lot of snow so any prediction of the white fluffy stuff sends the entire town into a tailspin. The grocery stores are packed with people stocking up on milk, bread and canned goods. Seriously… I think they are afraid that they won’t get out of the house for a month!
Of course the transportation department isn’t equipped for the snow and ice on the roads either. So… we have been sort of trapped in our homes for a few days. I used my time to cook. I know… what a surprise! I came up with a few healthy soup recipes that I will be sharing with you. Perfect for cold snowy days!
OK – I know many of you are reading Made to Crave, and/or doing the Bible study and maybe watching the free weekly webcasts. Did you watch the first one this week? Wasn’t that awesome?!
Well… my friend, Melissa, is doing the Bible study online! I love this idea. Some people just can’t squeeze one more thing into their already full schedule. This is a great opportunity to participate from the comfort of your own home… in your soft jammies and furry slippies! Melissa will begin this Sunday (January 16th). She is also doing a series of conference calls as part of the Bible Study. I am very honored to be one of her guests!
I will be answering questions about my own weight loss journey on Thursday, January 20th and I would love to hear your sweet voices!
Check out Melissa’s site for more information or to join us on this journey. We are all in this together!
So excited!
OK – check back tomorrow for a healthy, family-friendly recipe for roasted chicken with vegetables. It’s one of my favorites, it’s easy on the budget, and… even my picky teenage boy likes it. And ya’ll know that’s saying something!
Sweetest Blessings,
LeAnn

I love receiving your blog. I love to cook and bake. I sold Pampered Chef for nearly 5 years but found myself more interested in the recipe than the product
And I love how you are all working together for the Made to Crave. Our ladies group started the bible study tonight. It’s going to fabulous! Thanks for sharing!
What a fabulous list of healthy small-group snack ideas! The apple slices with drizzles is brilliant. Rob loves coated holiday apples dipped in all goo. Your version is perfect for a weekend snack with the same great flavors, but far less splurge.
